Windows 11 System Requirements

Before you update from earlier Windows Operating systems or are simply installing Windows 11 on a brand new machine, then there are some requirements and features that your computer must support in order for you to be able to install Windows 11. You may alternatively download the PC Health checker app which will scan your computer to make sure that your PC is compatible with Windows 11 requirements. You can download the app and install by clicking on this link. Once you are on the webpage then scroll down and select Windows 11 installation assistant which will then download and run on your PC. If you are however reading this article then downloading the app won’t be necessary as we list all the requirements below:

Processor 1 gigahertz (GHz) or faster with 2 or more cores on a compatible 64-bit processor or System on a Chip (SoC).

Can I still Install Windows 11 Even If My PC Is Not Compatible?

At this moment there are ways around installing Windows 11 on your PC which we don’t recommend as we suspect this would become an issue in the future as Microsoft releases more patches. There is also a chance that if you use any shortcuts to installing Windows 11 on a PC that does not support it then you can expect certain applications to not work or won’t be supported.

What Is The Process Of Upgrading To Windows 11?

You can trigger this update manually by going into into Settings>Update & Security>Windows Update and then clicking on Check for updates. Once Windows has checked for all updates then you should see an update for Windows 11 in the list. Once you click on install then your computer will restart a few times to install the update. You may also see the Windows 11 update show up in your notification area depending on how up to date your computer so this won’t be the case for all users.

How Much Does Windows 11 Cost?

If you already have Windows 10 then Windows 11 will be offered as a free upgrade and you may just follow the steps above to install Windows 11. If you are installing Windows 11 on a brand new computer then you would need to burn the iso image downloaded from Microsoft onto a bootable USB Drive and boot from the USB drive to install Windows 11 from scratch. This should be fairly straight forward to anybody who has ever installed an Operating System before.

Do We Recommend Windows 11?

So far Windows 11 has shown promising signs and overall we love the new interface and the smoothness of the operating system. For us this is an upgrade on Windows 10 and this operating system will work much better on newer and more modern devices. There is a small learning curb once the OS has been installed as there are some differences compared to the previous Operating system but they are small.
